Understanding the Chinese Zodiac Signs and Its Implications

The zodiac signs are the means to depict the meaning of a person’s characteristics on certain parameters, most commonly being the time or year of birth. The Chinese Zodiac system too works on the lunar year of a person’s birth and depicts the characteristics according to the year a person was born. The prodigy of the Chinese culture believes in the existence of an animal within a person’s heart. They believed the inception of the zodiac signs when Lord Buddha gestured 12 animals and honored them with each lunar year.

You can determine your zodiac sign as per the Chinese mythology and what each implies from the following:

1. Rat (1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008): With water as one of its elements of nature, people associated with this zodiac sign are intelligent, extroverts, charming and astute by nature. They are highly compatible with Dragon and Monkey Chinese zodiac signs.

2. Ox (1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009): They have the element Earth and such people are very loyal, faithful, logical and mentally stable. They associate well with Snake and Rooster zodiac signs.
